Public Access to Delaware County Court Records

The Delaware County copy page lists $1.00 per page for plain copies of court or marriage records and $3.00 per document for certification, citing Indiana court-fee statutes. Certified copies are handled by the Clerk of the Circuit Courts for Circuit Court records. Muncie City Court records use the City Clerk's request process and payment rules. If the online case is enough for general tracking, no copy fee is needed, but certified copies are required when a court, employer, licensing board, or agency asks for an official record.

Restricted Delaware County Court Records
Not every Delaware County court record appears in a public search. Juvenile delinquency, CHINS, adoption, mental-health, protected-party, sealed, and expunged records can be withheld, removed, or redacted. If a case was expected but does not appear, check spelling, date, court, and case type first, then contact the clerk or the relevant city court rather than assuming the record does not exist.
Delaware County Court Record Requests
The Delaware County Clerk of the Circuit Courts is the in-person and phone fallback for Circuit Court case copies, certified records, marriage records, and public documents that are not online. The office is in the Delaware County Justice Center, and the copy page lists office hours as Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bring the case number if possible, plus party names, record type, filing date range, and whether a plain or certified copy is needed.
